What goes
in.
Six things touch our plants. We list them, source them locally where we can, and refuse the alternative, even when it costs us yield. Same six since 2021.
If we can't name the supplier, we don't use it.If the supplier won't share their methods, we don't use it. If the input was made by abusing land or labor, we don't use it.Three rules. Easy to follow.
Six inputs. That's it.
Soil
Compost, worm castings, kelp meal. We rebuild the bed every cycle, no synthetic top-ups.
Water
Reverse-osmosis filtered, then pH-balanced to 6.2. Total dissolved solids: 50 ppm at the root.
Light
Greenhouses get 11 hrs of natural light, supplemented with full-spectrum LEDs at dawn/dusk to stretch the season.
Nutrients
No synthetic salts. Tea is brewed weekly from compost, kelp, and fish hydrolysate.
Pest control
Predator mites, ladybugs and lacewings handle 95% of pressure. Neem oil only as last resort, never within 30 days of harvest.
Cure
Trimmed by a team of 6, then jar-cured at 62% RH and 65F. We burp every jar for the first 14 days.
Where it comes from.
* The two long-distance suppliers (Down to Earth, Koppert) make products we can't source closer. We're piloting a Texas alternative with Texas A&M for both, expected late 2026.
Six panels.
Every batch goes through ProVerde Laboratories in Massachusetts. They don't know us, don't love us, and have failed our peers. That's the point.
Cannabinoids
THC, THCa, CBD, CBDa, CBG, CBN and more. Calculated to 0.01% precision.
Terpenes
Myrcene, limonene, pinene, caryophyllene, linalool - the "why it tastes like that."
Pesticides
Full Texas-mandated pesticide panel plus 8 we add ourselves. Detected at parts-per-billion.
Microbials
Aspergillus, salmonella, E. coli, total yeast & mold. Hard fails on any presence.
Heavy metals
Lead, cadmium, arsenic, mercury. Soil-grown plants are screened more aggressively.
Mycotoxins
Aflatoxins B1, B2, G1, G2 + ochratoxin A. Quarterly soil retest backs this up.
The no-list.
We get asked weekly to bring in cheaper inputs. The answer is no, and these are why.
- Synthetic salts
- Glyphosate
- Plant-growth regulators
- Imported flower
- Wholesale mixing
- Hydroponic-only systems
- Animal-tested anything
- GMO seed lines

Every jar carries a 5-step lineage. Scan the QR on the inner card to walk through the full record - mother plant, grow data, lab pass, packing crew.
Seed log
Every clone tagged to a mother. Mother lineage tracked back 6 generations.
Grow record
Daily VPD, RH, soil-moisture and feed log. Visible to QA in real time.
Harvest tag
Plant gets a unique ID at chop. Cure room, trim station, jar all reference it.
Lab batch
Three samples per harvest batch sent to ProVerde. Results published with order.
Pack run
Jar ID matches harvest tag. Scan it on the QR card for full chain history.
